Have you wanted to try flipping your classroom, but you are not sure where to start? EdPuzzle is a good way to start the process. You can create videos of yourself introducing the material as you have always done using iMovie or QuickTime. Then you can upload the movie and assign it to your students to watch. I already hear, "How do you make sure they are really watching it and not letting it just run through?" EdPuzzle allows you to insert questions thoughout the movie. Now you can ask questions about what you said, what they think they should do, or anything you want. This will allow you to start flipping your classroom. It also gives you another tool to get assessment data, or you can use it as a way to keep your students busy when you have a sub!! No more random assignments. Continue the lesson through the videos. Also, EdPuzzle allows you to set it up so they cannot skip any part of the movie. You need to have a video saved on your computer to upload and practice with!!

I have been teaching Algebra 1 for the last 10 years. I believe in using EdPuzzle, Khan Academy, and quizzes to enhance my lessons and homework.
